Pfeiffer Partners is currently planning and programming the new Center for the Arts at Chapman University in Orange, California. The $50-million, 71,000-gsf center will be a world-class performing arts center and educational facility for the theater, music and dance departments of the university\'s College of Performing Arts, as well as a cultural destination for the Orange community and surrounding region. The highly visible site, located along Glassell Avenue and the university\'s Global Citizens Plaza, will serve as a new front door to the campus. The preliminary program for the new center includes a 1,050-seat multi-purpose hall, rehearsal space, associated performer and support space and storage, administrative offices and a multi-level lobby. The new center will contribute back to the life of the campus--enhancing the overall look and feel of the environment through its architecture and landscaping, while conveying to students, faculty and visitors alike, Chapman\'s commitment to educational inquiry, quality and the future.
