LORENZO MATTII

As a Principal with Pfeiffer Partners Architects, Lorenzo Mattii provides architectural and design direction for civic, educational and cultural projects. He is an award-winning designer who brings16 years of diverse experience obtained through more than a dozen years of practice with Moshe Safdie and Associates. His current and recent work includes State University of New York Potsdam Performing Arts and Technology Center, Brooklyn College Performing Arts Center Expansion, the University of Rochester Arts Center, Philadelphia Free Library Addition and Restoration*, Springfield Federal Courthouse in Massachusetts*, Kansas City Performing Arts Center and School for the Ballet*, Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto, and the Guangzou Science Center in China*. He recently served as Senior Designer of “A New Habitat,” three separate high-rise/high-density projects, which is part of the traveling exhibit, Global Citizen. Mr. Mattii received a Master of Architecture, with honors, from the University of Virginia; and a Bachelor of Art in Art History from Tufts University. He also studied architecture and preservation at the University of Florence in Italy. He has been nominated for the AIA Young Architects Award, and is a past recipient of the AIA Certificate of Merit in Design Excellence, and the Rotch Traveling Scholarship. Mr. Mattii’s work has been in published in the Library of Congress, Virginia Studio Record, and Saggi Di Rilievo. *Projects completed with Moshe Safdie and Associates.
